Storm drain Scoping revealed multiple cracks at the drainpipe to the collector box at 1173 LD. After checking with multiple companies, Pensacola Concrete Construction will repair with a pipe in place system. That old supply chain issue is delaying repair. Once materials are acquired, it will be an additional three weeks to place on the schedule. Jim Brownlee @ 4064 LC is maintaining contact with Pensacola Concrete. Repairs, once started, can be completed in a day with minimal disruptions to the residents involved.

Rachel Ward (1173) reports that you can receive a copy of Flood Determination and Flood Map document by calling Karen Thornhill, Santa Rosa Flood Plain Manager, at 850-981-7029. This document can be sent to your Fema Insurance carrier as proof of flood plain change. It could mean a decrease in your FEMA insurance rate. Ms. Thornhill will need your name, address, phone number, and email address. If you use email, be sure and check your spam file for communication from Santa Rosa County Flood Plain Management! Yard and Garden Tips

-
It's gonna get hot and dry! Water that thirsty lawn. One hour two times a week is better than every day for a half an hour, Deep watering encourages the roots to go deep making a healthier lawn.
-
With such small yards, your weeds become your neighbors' weeds in a heartbeat. The employees at Lowes are more than willing to help you find the right weed control. Better yet, ask your neighbor. Check out the great looking yards (we have quite a few) and ask them their secrets! Most people love to share.
STASH YOUR TRASH CAN
Now for a BFO (blinding flash of the obvious)
Our yards are small. Trash cans in full view all the time ruin the view for your neighbors. Trash cans left outside attract wildlife. Please secure your trash cans so that they cannot be seen from the street. It's in the Covenants. And it is the neighborly thing to do!!!
