REMEMBER TO CHECK OUT THE WEBSITE

On the Fairways website, you can access the updated Covenants, find Vendors that are neighbor recommended, and get Santa Rosa community contact information.

Next month there will be a page update about garage and estate sale planning.  Hurricane preparedness resources are also in the works.

WALKING THE DOG!

Please remember to clean up your pooches' poop. Also, cat owners need to realize that free roaming pets also leave uninvited presents in neighbors' yards.

All of our yards are small and no one wants to bring a smelly surprise on to the carpet.

So please be considerate and collect the waste and dispose of in your trash.

A PERSONAL NOTE

I'm sure many of you have heard about my headfirst accident into the creek bed in my backyard.  The outpouring of good wishes and kind thoughts are truly heartwarming.  I am so blessed to have such generous neighbors.

Thank you so much.

Storm Water Survey UPDATE

We received the certified survey of our storm water system March 1st.  It was shared with our pro bono storm water engineer who from a cursory analysis says:

  • (not surprisingly) it would not pass inspection if it were being installed under current standards.

  • biggest problem is the downstream drainage ditch flow capacity between the ponds on the Golf Course.

  • then the silting in the drainage easement in the FHOA North Common Area.

We plan to share the survey and more evolving detail about our efforts to make sure our system is functioning to its maximum capabilities during the annual Meeting.

News around Fairways

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS:

  • Fairways is pleased to welcome the following new Neighbors:

    • 1192 LD Todd & Vivian Maloney and 2 sons

    • 1188 LD Josh & Jessica Espstein

    • 4048 LWC Skip & Itzel Wiley

       â€‹

  • A BIG SHOUT OUT and THANK YOU to Evelyn Hersey for the planting and beautification work she has done around the flagpole and the sign monuments at our Community's Entrance.  Evelyn not only contributed the supplies from her own pocket she spent hours, singlehandedly completing the effort.

  • ANOTHER SHOUT OUT and THANK YOU to Rachel and Andre Ward who noticed the entrance flag was getting a little tattered and contributed an American Flag which is now flying over our Fairways entrance.

Please let these neighbors know how much you appreciate their concern and their efforts on behalf of our Community.

WORK IN PROGRESS

  • A company called "Broken Pipes" has repaired a leak in our Common Area well head plumbing and is sending us a proposal to service and repair the sprinkler heads to make sure the grass and entrance landscaping is getting the water it needs.

  • Jim Brownlee got the Board's approval to have Pensacola Concrete inspect the storm water system starting at the collector box in front of 1173 LD.  There is substantial sinking around the box and along the curb and street. There is sand building up in the collector box which could be indicative of either a broken pipe going under the street or at least being separated from the collector box. There had been repairs at the street in this location previously. Since there is a 4 hour minimum rate on this service, Jim is going to have Pensacola concrete check other areas of concern and scope as much of the sewer as possible along LD.
